  1. GGL                      START-UP INSTRUCTIONS                     Version 1.31

  3. It is very important to make a backup copy of this software BEFORE running it
  4. the first time!  After copying all of the files to a working disk, copy
  5. protect your original diskette and put it away for safekeeping.  If necessary,
  6. refer to your DOS Manual for instructions on how to use the COPY command.

  8. If you want to print the GGL Manual first, run the program called SEE_MAN.COM;
  9. otherwise if you have:
  10.  
  11. > Fixed Disk & Floppy Disk Drive(s) - Make a sub-directory for the programs,
  12.    perhaps called LEDGER.  Then, log on to this sub-directory, and copy all of
  13.    the files from the GGL disk to this sub-directory.  Once copied, type "GGL"
  14.    then Enter, and GGL will handle things from there.

  16. > Only Floppy Disk Drive(s) - After copying all of the files from your original
  17.    disk, place your working copy into the logged drive, either A: or B:, and
  18.    type "GGL" then Enter.  GGL will instruct you from there on.

  20. Requires DOS 3.0+, at least 200k of RAM, an 80-column Monitor, and a printer
  21. that will respond to Epson-type control codes.  The program must be run from
  22. the logged drive.  More instructions are in the text file called MANUAL.GGL.
